Chiprovtsi

The Historical Museum of Chiprovtsi - A museum featuring exhibitions on goldsmithing artifacts from the 16th and 17th centuries, the development and decline of mining through the centuries, the role of Catholicism during the 17th century, painted icons, and the development of carpet weaving from the 18th century to the present. Weekday hours: 8:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:30. Weekend and holiday hours: 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00. The price of admission is 1 lev for adults and 0.50 lev for children. Guided tours are available for 2 leva. Note: The actual museum is normally locked, and one must go to the administrative offices located to the left of the museum and ring the bell for assistance.

Katerina House - An ethnographic complex presenting the Torlaks' lifestyle. There is also a garden featuring plants used to dye wool for carpet weaving.
